Our Story

Mr. Tablas is a young couple’s dream. Ruth (from Nicaragua) and Livan (from Cuba) met in Miami. They always had a desire for a comfortable space where they could embrace both cultures rather than feel the need to pick between them.

For them, food and drink always created comfort and bridges between people, which is why they decided to create Mr. Tablas, a Cuban Gastrobar in Nicaragua, a place for food, drinks, and a cultural embrace

The two cultures appear different, but they share an important historic link: Nicaragua and Cuba were both Spain colonies. They share a history and a destiny, so there is an opportunity to achieve a fusion of flavors that will delight the most demanding of palates.
